Crowned Heads
Blood Medicine
Blood Medicine, the renowned blend from Crowned Heads, is no longer just an event-only exclusive.
A cigar that has been passed around from insider to insider for years is now available to the public for the first time ever. This combination of Ecuadorian habano wrapper over Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and Nicaraguan filler was crafted at Eradio Pichardo’s TacaNicsa factory, while the original was crafted at My Father Cigars S.A.
The smoke pays homage to Crowned Heads’ hometown of Nashville and the storied hotel that has housed some of the music industry’s great musicians over the years, such as Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline. The building on Broadway and 4th avenue downtown was once a pharmacy in the 1800s and has attracted all sorts of eerie tales of civil war era ghosts and other legendary tales.
So many of the industry’s best cigars start as sticks that were made for other cigar enthusiasts before a wider release. This is especially true for Blood Medicine, which was not only a tribute to the business’ best, but also a place that is close to the brand’s heart and soul.
The packaging of this smoke is incredibly unique and references the building’s pharmacy roots with an old apothecary-type feel. Jokingly promising, as many old medicines of the day, to cure everything from libido to toothaches, the box could stand alone as a proud display piece for those who collect cigar artwork. The sticks, too, feature that vintage vibe on bands that wrap around gorgeously tan cigars.
The flavor profile here is one of cream, caramel, black pepper and spice. Rounding out the profile is a mature combination of coffee, wood and earthy notes. Your customers will keep coming back for this blend, much like the attraction old pharmacists and snake oil salesmen enjoyed. In fact, Snake Oil was the original name of the cigar though obviously in jest. Back in the olden days, a bottle could promise anything. Now, especially in the cigar industry, a smoke has to be truly elite to weather the rigors of this market. Blood Medicine absolutely fits the bill.
The limited-edition release is only available in 1,500 12-count boxes, so shop Santa Clara now before supplies run out. These short-term releases tend to sell extremely fast. Beat the word on the street and grab enough for your storefront today.
